Dear Friend of Early Childhood Educators,

The 2018 NJAEYC Annual Stateership Day and Conference is scheduled for October 19- 20 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Somerset, New Jersey. We are staying in central New Jersey to be more accessible to all NJ early childhood educators.

Our conference attracts key people in the field of early childhood education. With the increased need for our services, we are experiencing enormous growth and are always shopping! Our participants are interested and responsible for purchasing developmentally appropriate materials and equipment for their child care centers and family child care programs. We urge you to bring items available for sale.

We want our relationship with our vendors to be one that is mutually beneficial and NJAEYC is interested in exploring ways we can better support each other.

Enclosed you will find the Exhibitor’s contract. Please return the contract as soon as possible. Space is limited, so sign up early! Tables will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Please join the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children – NJAEYC for their Annual State Conference at the DoubleTree Hotel in Somerset on October 19-20, 2018.

Friday Keynote – Lisa Murphy, Ed.D. Early Childhood Specialist.

Lisa is the founder and CEO of Ooey Gooey, Inc. where her mission is to assist in the transformation of the industry of early childhood education by offering the best workshops and trainings; the most up to date materials and resources: and insightful conversations and connections through the power of social media. Her standing room only seminars have become nationally known for their humor, inspiration and energetic delivery.

Saturday Keynote – Sharron Krull – Teacher, trainer, consultant and play guru.

Sharron is a passionate, enthusiastic and playful teacher who is always learning from the children and makes it her business to help you set your inner child loose! As an early childhood specialist for 42 years, she travels worldwide conducting, workshops, seminars and keynote speeches sharing developmentally appropriate curriculum activities and resources.

MOYC Mini-Grant Application

Mid-State Chapter of NJAEYC invites you to apply for a Mini-Grant to help fund your:

2018 Month of the Young Child Event.

Mid State is offering a Month of the Young Child grant to encourage NJAEYC members to organize activities for MOYC.
The event should promote awareness of young children, their families, and the early childhood programs that serve them. This money should not be used for regular operating expenses.
Mini-Grants will be awarded to selected NJAEYC members for their celebration planned for Month of the Young Child during April 2018. Non-members may become members to apply for this grant by going to www.naeyc.org/membership.
Please submit your detailed application and event flyer by April 6, 2018 for consideration.

Pamala A. Brooks Scholarship Award

Congratulations, Samara Florexil!

Pamala A.Brooks Scholarship in Early Childhood Education Recipient…..

Samara is currently studying at Kean University majoring in Early Childhood Education and Sociology. She is a part of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education and loves to volunteer – especially for the kids. Her teaching philosophy is to help students understand that their identity and background makes a difference in how they learn and experience the world around them. Samara would like to teach in an urban area to give back to the communities from her childhood. She currently holds a Substitute Certification in New Jersey and speaks Creole & French. Samara looks forward to a May 2018 graduation.
