New Child Care Licensing Rules Increases Group Size
On September 18, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Health released new rules for child care centers regarding group size and visitor policies. They include:
- increasing student group size capacity to 15 children;
- more flexibility to allow visitor access, including providers of therapeutic and treatment services (Early Intervention Services program staff and any provider of serviced required by an Individual Education Plan); and
- some limited flexibility to consolidate groups at the end of the day.
