What’s going on in the US –
Below are two pieces of legislation addressing the rising costs of Child Care in the United states:
- Child Care for Working Families Act of 2019 – is aimed at making child care more affordable and improving conditions for child care workers.
- Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit Enhancement Act– would increase the tax credit for families and expand the credit for families making less than $120,000.

What’s coming up-
The Advocates for Children of New Jersey (ACNJ) will sponsor Strolling Thunder New Jersey, on May 30th. ACNJ invites babies and their families and advocates joining them in Trenton for a stroll in front of the State House Annex to urge Governor Murphy and the Legislature that makes babies a higher state priority.
