Welcome to the 21stAnnual Health in Child Care Conference - Health and Well Being for New Jersey’s Children.
It is a pleasure to chair this year’s conference once again. It is always an honor to work with the dedicated and devoted group of professionals who make up the Health in Child Care Conference Committee. Together, we
have been able to bring together a diverse and expert group of presenters to provide a wide and timely array of informative workshops. We are confident you will find several meaningful choices to meet your
professional development needs. We are especially grateful to have Dr. Gerry Costa, Director and Senior Lecturer from Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health at Montclair State University, as our keynote
We are delighted to once again present the Rose Annussek Award for Inclusive Child Care during lunchtime on the day of the conference. This award is being presented in collaboration with financial support from the
New Jersey Inclusive Child Care Project under the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network. We hope that you will consider nominating someone deserving of this honor (see inside back cover for nomination form). We are
appreciative of SPAN’s continued financial support for this conference.
The Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative continues to support us in offering Nursing Contact Hours for nurses attending the conference. All of the workshops meet the requirement for professional development through the Office of Child Care Licensing as well.
The continued success of this conference is the direct result of the hard work of an amazing group of volunteers and presenters from organizations throughout the state who donate their time and expertise. Special thanks to
Helen Muscato for all the work she does to make our conference run smoothly. We thank NJAEYC for continuing to support this conference as a collaborative project. We also thank our sponsors who enable us to keep
our registration fees low as a result of their generous support. Should you wish to make a contribution, all donations are greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you in May!
